Osymetric USA is the exclusive distributor and manufacturer of Osymetric Chain Rings for North and South America. Under a license agreement with the French company BioSquat/Osymetric and Jean Louis Talo, the inventor, the rings we sell are being made in Burlington North Carolina, USA to his specifications. These are the same rings that have been tested and are currently being used by pro cyclists including Bobby Julich, Bradly Wiggins,David Millar and Greg Henderson in all the Worlds Greatest Grand Tours. The Osymetric harmonic design is NOT a resurrection of Shimano's Biopace rings of the early 1980s. An elliptical chainring changes the effective gear ratio as you pedal. Biopace reduced the gear ratio as crank passed through the horizontal; the Osymetric harmonic increases it. The Osymetric design enables you to ride faster, longer and harder when seconds truly count. Your legs travel through the dead spot quicker and easier and then move directly into the power producing phase so that you can put your energy into the rear wheel when it counts. The Osymetric ring acts as a twin cam to turn your human power and energy into forward motion. Greg Henderson calls it "freespeed".
